What we offer

The Unitherm Training Centre has been established to provide industry leading training courses in the development of knowledge on renewable energy technologies.

The training centre's aim is to provide a relaxed learning environment that’s a little bit quirky. While our focus is on the heating engineers passing the course, our objective is to teach the installation of Air Source Heat Pumps and how to service and maintain them so that the engineer leaves Unitherm with a full understanding.

  • Exam fees included (no extra payment required)
  • Learning material provided.
  • Three fully working ASHPs installed including a split system.
  • Up to date heat pump units
  • Hands on training
  • Light, comfortable and air conditioned training room
  • Lunch and refreshments included
  • Free parking

  • We have three fully operational ASHPs, one of which is a split system. These units can be run to demonstrate fault codes and execute repairs. Annual maintenance requirements can also be carried out according to MCS requirements. Fully operational heat emitters are installed representing two separate heating zones allowing candidates to see how heat pump controls communicate with thermostats and zone valves.

Unitherm has an experienced team with technical, installation, sales and project management skills to share with the candidates and once they are confident with heat pump installation we can offer Manufacturer’s Training Courses.

  • This is where we get to the nitty gritty and up close and personal with a heat pump, what are the unique features to set up, how does a particular heat pump perform at it’s best, what is the best commissioning procedure to follow? – all of these questions will be answered relating to specific manufacturers specifications.

The fees for the Therma V Training course (currently £95) will be credited to the candidate’s account for use against future Unitherm purchases*.
